I finally bought myself a tig machine

After keeping an eye out for a few years, I finally picked up a tig welder.

    It's a second hand Rtech ac/dc 201

I had a play with it on Wednesday night but couldn't seem to get any control over the weld puddle. I went back for a second attempt on Thursday and figured out that the pedal was broken and giving only the switch to turn on rather than any modulation.

These are my first attempts from the second evening without using the pedal, just the torch switch.

Great machines and very reliable. If you do have a problem contact RTech as they have great customer service . Pity pure Argon is expensive stuff!

I have the same machine. Had it about 5 years and its been trouble free.
I must say for a first attempt that is very impressive.
