leaking bleeder screw for cabin heater unit

so it happened to me also

the small bleeder screw on the hose from the engine going through the bulkhead snapped

I used it 8 months ago while changing coolant with no problems.

A few days back i noticed it leaking a little, and barely touched it, and then the top snapped off, leaving the remaining screw in the coolant hose.

It's not leaking bad, but i want this fixed, and was thinking of taking a drill, and drilling a hole in the remaining plastic, and then putting a self-tapping metal screw in there with some liquid sealer.

Any comments to this, before i **** something up, or any other solutions.

I think there is a metal nut inside so better to take the hose out and see what you can do about it. I'd probably just blank it with something..

      Solutions in this order:

Buy a new set of Silicone COOLANT hoses from here: www.s246parts.com

Beg a spare hose from someone who has bought a new set of hoses and no longer
      needs their old set.

Drill a hole in the plastic and put a self tapping screw in the hole.

All of these solutions will work:-)

        problem solved.

drilled a hole and put a screw in it. Easy and cheap fix :-)

And suppose i even could use it for bleeding next time also.

will consider the coolant hoses suggested at a later stage.

thanks for the help, allways very nice to get confirmed before actually doing something with a drill :-)
