Recently developed a problem with my seat heating. Passenger works fine, however, the car is blackmailing me for a new clutch and refuses to heat my seat. What should be the first things I should look at?

check to see if you have voltage @ the plug for the seat mat then check if no voltage the resistance of the heater element with a ohm meter .don't know what the resistance should be but if it is open circuit then the element it broken somewhere(open circuit is when resistance reaches top of the scale on your meter)Originally posted by Ski

Audi Parts guru did u manage to sort it?
Ive tested the switch and that works fine. Still no heat to the bottom, or top part of the seat
So if the switch is working fine, everything else is shared between the two seats right? (fuse, thermo fuse, relay etc.)....ABY Coupe

Heated seats have two relays, one for the drivers side and one for the passenger side.
Relays located on the extra relay board beneath the steering column.
Passenger = relay location # 13
Drivers = relay location #14.
Both should have part number 443 919 533 A.2001 Avus Silver B5 RS4.

Im strugling to find this relay.
anyone know where abouts it is or what number wil be on it (not part number).
