Just plug the hose that enters the IM, so you don't get a boost/vacuum leak. Leave the N80 pluged in or you'll get a fault code.
Then go to the boot and you'll see where the pipe exits the tank breather to go to the front of the car, disconnect that and replace it with a hose that will be the new vent. I routed mine out the air vent in the boot, so the fumes exit behind the rear bumper.
You can then remove the carbon canister and all associated unused piework.
Stand back and admire the less cluttered engine bay.

Has anyone done this on an Avant / RS2?Just plug the hose that enters the IM, so you don't get a boost/vacuum leak. Leave the N80 pluged in or you'll get a fault code.

I've done it on the coupe, it's really simple. Just get the boot trim panel off where the filler neck goes into the tank and the breather is on the top there.
charcoal canister is in the driver's side inner wing on the ABY.Cheers'en, AndyC
