  • Looking for a new (or good OEM used) condenser for CQ 7A

The only thing I see online is Valeo from Lithuana. Germany has a few but won't post to the USA.

Ideas or options? Current condenser cannot be salvaged.

(Frist post, so please don't shoot me)

Since no one has replied to you, I thought I'd ask you if you'd found a solution to this within the last few weeks?
I can see a number of those condensers on offer in my searches.

As an English resident of Germany, I've been helping owners obtain new and used parts for their cars for almost 4 years - mainly new parts from Audi Tradition and used parts from the classifieds. Most of the owners I help are from the US and UK, mainly, as we know, due to Tradition's stance on not shipping to those markets.

Since joining the forum last year and regularly browsing the posts, I appreciate that regular bulk-buys are a very helpful thing here, but if they don't cater for non-UK owners or a part is needed quicker then I may be of some use.

If you or anyone else are stuck for a part, then please get in touch. I've mainly been posting parts for A8/S8 owners from the D2 forums and D2 Facebook pages and yes, I accept payment by PayPal Goods and Services with buyer protection and I can also list on eBay if necessary. I also only request payment when I can show you the part(s) in my possession, unless it's a used part from a private seller where I don't have the option of return and don't want to be out of pocket if a buyer changes their mind.
I do have a small handling fee to make it worth my while of course but nobody has ever whinged at that.

The only thing I struggle with are bulky parts. I'm happy to ship them but the horrendous international freight charges deter everyone. Always.

        Thank you for the welcome.
Although my wife and I have 5 Audis to keep us busy (3x D2, 1x C6 Allroad and a D4), we've not ventured into S2 ownership so I'm more of a fan looking in from the sidelines.
In fact we're fans of all the older Audis, having previously owned cars from the B2, B3, B5, C3, C4, C5 platforms. Notice the big B4 gap there

Audi Tradition is showing stock https://audi-tradition-parts.de/de_D...rm=893260403L+
Are you able to inquire at your local Audi dealer? I have used two different Audi dealers here in NZ to purchase parts from Tradition over the last 2-3 years.

I know here in canada, dealers can order from tradition... but so can individuals so why bother....

But shipping to the states is not an option on the tradition website, not sure if the dealership network has access individuals don't though.

              Thanks for the responses.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Valeo part because I didn't have the luxury to wait around. The mechanic was anxious to keep the project moving along.

So far it is worked out. It's only been 2 days, but the they were able to get a few hoses swapped (NLA AC pipes from AT that I carried back in my luggage from 3 years ago), charged the system with R12, and got it blowing cold right away.

The compressor clutch started smoking right away. Fortunately, a seller out of Canada had an NLA clutch kit-Denso! New clutch kit installed and it is blowing cold.... After. 15. years.
              sitting. empty.

First time I've ridden in the CQ with AC. Dreams are real, folks. You just have to chase them.
