    RS2 a/c compressor

I need a new a/c compressor for my RHD RS2. So far I can’t find one and they are showing as NLA from Audi. Any suggestions? TIA.

You need to start cross checking the part number. For my 3B S2 I found a Merc S Class unit was identical. Using the Denso number.
i know its not the same as the RS2 unit, but likely it was used in other German cars of the time, (from manufacturers who care about their historical cars.... unlike Audi...)

Thanks. Denso draws a blank. Audi part numbers are 8A0 260 805 AC, 8A0 260 805 AF. Made by Zexel.

Looks like you're going to have to do some mix and match. You need a compressor with the right mounting holes, a V belt pulley and the outlet connections correct. Several available in the UK off this site: autodoc.co.uk for example but with a ribbed pulley.

This site has the correct examples (but out of stock):https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/oen...0260805ac.html

but give some idea of the correct item to search for. If you can only find ribbed pulley compressers at a reasonable price, consider buying one of those and changing the pulley over to your old one.

I had mine refurbished by this company a couple of years ago, cost was very reasonable and the job was done with the due care in my opinion.

R.I.P.A.S. è specializzata nella rigenerazione di componenti auto da oltre 20 anni. Ripariamo abs, sterzi, trasmissioni e compressori clima.

I paid 250,00 euros if I remember well, they do this jobs with international customers as well so you could place them an enquire?
They also do refurbish, steering pumps (even our tandem ones), steering racks, abs aggregate etc etc
Years ago Autewo was buying nackered RS2 ac compressors and get them professionally refurbished and then reselling them for 900 euros each, same thing but a lot cheaper...
Currently I have problems with my RS2 A/C but not due to the compressor... unlucky me!
