Heating

My car (non aircon) has a problem with its heater.

Leave house, run to car, start engine, put heater on, fan on setting 2.

Heat arrives. Then just when it is getting nice and warm and I am drifting off...... the ****** starts throwing out cold air. If I then twiddle with the heater controls, and the fan controls I can sometimes coax some more hot air out. Sometimes not.

I reakon on an air pocket/blockage - however, what I need to know - is this a reasonable prognosis, and if so how do I go about removing the air (presumed by bleeding)

Help/advice, gloves (or warmer slippers) appreciated.
