I have a dodgy bulb or connection in my climate control. It's the illumination for the right hand side buttons.

So did mine occasionally, but if I gave it a tap it would illuminate!
The bulbs can accessed with the control unit removed. IIRC it involves removing the trim surround (gently prise it off), then removing the ashtray (couple of screws) and then unscrewing the climate control panel. Or something like that!, it's pretty obvious as you go along anyway.

If you remove the center console and disconnect the cigarette and diff button, and the leather around the gearleaver you should be able to yank it down and out.
that's what I did
Changed all the bulbs recently.
