Hi
The main radiator on my -91 3B (with AC/climate control)is broken, and I have got myself a new one (Nissens).
Looks like a big job changing it, anybody got some good advice about how to do it?

The easiest way is to remove the AC rad, then unbolt the fan motor and then the sorround. You can then get at the mounting bolts and out it comes. It is a crap job and i hate doing it. I bought a Nissens rad and it never fitted right. So i bought a new Audi rad and it fits perfectly

Ouch. Lost my motivation for changing it Have glued the crack instead, seems to have sealed nicely. Used 2 component glue (Araldit), sanded and cleaned the cracked area (at the top of the rad). Then I put a new gasket on the "air vent screw?" Used some kind of fibreglass weave to reinforce the glued area.
