Klimatronic compatible code

Hello, I have a question, is compatible a Klimatronic from a Audi 100 S4 or S6 or S2 ABY or 80, ecc, with a Klimatronic of a RS2 or S2 or any other Audi car with the old Klimatronic? Thanks a lot! Bye

Yes - you can swap the head units from AAN into an S2 or RS2 - but it WILL need to recoded in VAGCOM - as the compressor on S2/RS2 does not have a speed signal - versus the AAN which does and would throw up a fault code. I can dig up detailed info on this... but search forum for other threads on this topic.

Thanks a lot! So, all the old Klimatronic are compatible with a S2/RS2 Klimatronic or only a AAN Klimatronic is compatible with a ADU Klimatronic and a ABY Klimatronic? And a ABY one with a ADU? Is right that the first S2 Coupe ABY mount a orange Klimatronic and not red one? Thanks a lot! Bye

If its the early single channel one then yes I believe so but I'd need to check schematics to be 100% sure.

Because they were fitted to lots more Audis in the USA they often come up on ebay.com for around US $70.
