Check fuses 4, 12 and 14 first of all...

Its weird to get faults on those three motors all at once - the only common link would be a wiring problem...

With reference to this diagram - http://www.s2central.net/S2_Schematics/B/B75.PDF - maybe the D or B connector block into the rear of climate unit.

Also check that earth connections are good too.

Do these faults all come back after they are cleared with VAGCOM - maybe they are old alarms stored and not yet reset.

It may just be you have a leak in your system which prevents it from working.

The most obvious reason for the compressor not to kick in because you're out of refrigerant gas.

If you don't have access to an A/C pressure gauge then you can check the low pressure switch. Unfortunately it is in a difficult position up against the passenger bulkhead behind the engine ECU. If you remove the engine ECU you can reach up and feel it.

If there's gas in the system the switch contact will be made. If the switch is open circuit, you've lost your gas.

Alternatively assuming you've checked fuse S17, pull the magnetic clutch relay, J44 and see if you've got +12volts on pin 2/30 when the ignition is switched on. No 12 volts, low pressure switch is open circuit = no gas.
