I bought some today from GSF, They told me that anything pre 2008 now uses G12 and everything after 2008 uses G12+
I said well all my audis are pre 08 and have always had G12+. He wasn't having any of it and ended up selling me the G12 instead..

There nothing particularly special about G12 other than it supposed to provide extended protection against corrosion compared with traditional ethylene glycol coolants. In other words you don't need to replace it as frequently as the traditional stuff. G12 is often referred to as a long life coolant.

G12 as you probably know can be safely mixed with other glycol based coolants.
