    while on the a/c subject, a while back i was met with a lot of hoo! ha! hum! b***cks! type replies when i said that some people were succesfully regassing with BUTANE gas! well the other day, I was helping a pal fit a new household built in fridge /freezer & guess what the notice on the back said it was gassed with? yep, BUTANE!
    (by the way it cools beer very well too!)

    Yep they've been making butane gassed fridges for a while - not aure about aircon units though.
    Ex 1994 Avant - now driving a Lotus 340r

      Works in the same way as a fridge. Not sure our cars AC systems will take the attack of the butane gas tho. I dunno.

        Put one spark plug in the system. This way you are easily able to blow up the whole car when it breaks next time!

            Yeh, I supose butane is highly flammable..................a bit like petrol!!!!!!!
