Hi, just started up my LHD RS2 to discover the heater/ aircon panel has gone completely blank. Checked all obvious fuses in box in scuttle under bonnet but all seem ok. Does anyone know if there is another position for a fuse for the panel or am I destined for a visit to the main dealer to have my pants pulled down again!
S17 (30amp) is the fuse that supplies the unit when the ignition is on. It also puts 12 volts on the blower fan motor and the recirc valve as well as pin 6/85 on relay 4, the compressor magnetic clutch relay.
If you pull out the climate control unit itself there should be a permanent 12 volts from fuse S4 (which also supplies the clock in the dashboard) on pin C13 and ignition switched 12 volts on pins C14 and D9.
5 minutes after I join, I receive the golden information that's just saved me £100's. I can't praise you lot enough. It was the fuse in S17. I had checked all of them but without knowing which one did the job, it was just a cursory glance to ensure they weren't blown. On closer inspection, the terminals on the fuse had corroded just enough to hinder contact. Squirt of WD40 and a new fuse& Bob's your uncle!
Thanks so much Johne, would have been a bitter winter with just the heated seats to warm my old bones!
