Bought an S2 and found the auxillary radiator has been removed and hose blanked off, can someone explain why this may have been done???

Makes access to the front of the engine a lot better, saves weight and in our climate at least engine will actually run a little cooler due to increased air flow.
Many of us have done this mod and it's one I would recommend.

Also the previous owner may have found that the old rad was rotten and starting to weep, that's what has happened to mine im going to blank it tomorrow and do a coolant change at the same time!Comment

if you want to be really trick, you could braize on a copper blanking piece
