I have a leak waterhose. It runs form the radiator (not the one on the front side ,but the other) to the engine, it is the big one with the T connection. Does anyone know the part number, and the price of the hose. I heared they are really expensive
Thanks,
Erik

I fixed the problem by cutting a piece of the hose and tighten it again to the radiatorl Today it broke again, not only the hose but also the connection on top of the radiator. So now I need and a hose and a radiator .
Anybody an idea what the radiator will costs?
thanks,

I have to pay 175 euro + vat for the radiator, for the hose I have to pay 108 euro + vat. I also have ordered the wastegate diaprahm that costs me around 50 euro.
I will pick it up on saterday and try to install it on saterday and sunday.
thanks for the info

After I installed everything(radiator, + waterhose + new coolant) I have much lower water temps. I dont know what is normall but when I drive on the highway and it is 15 degrees outside my water temp will not be higher then 55 - 60 degrees, is this normall?. When I stand still for a while the temps go up, and the ven kicks in at 90 degrees. So I think the temp sensor is working fine.
thanks,
Erik

Nah that sounds wrong - like your thermostat is stuck open and maybe your fan switches are cutting in too early.
Normal coolant temp is 85-90 degrees Celsius. Any much lower than that and the ECU thinks the engine is cold and you will waste fuel.
In traffic, the coolant temp will build to 100-110 with the fan cutting in around 110 from memory. Theres more info on the Technical pages at S2central.net with regards correct temperatures for the fans etc etc
My own car had developed a stuck open thermostat, keeping temps about 75, but I changed it two weeks ago (when I did the two link hoses) and it warms up much faster now and keeps a steady 85-90 degrees at all times (except stationary for long times of course).
#$@#$, not again. Is this easy to fix? My ven always started at temps of 90 - 95 degrees, I thought this was normall. Can it be that the temp sensor is broken, and nog given the right figures?

Do i have to take out the main rad again, I dont hope so!!. I know that it is just under the PAS pump. Can it be done if you remove the PAS pump? Or do I have to remove the bumper, the radiator etc and then replace the thermostat

Remove the auxiliary radiator, then the PAS pump and you'll easily get to the thermostat. When you are there, I strongly advise renewing the two coolant link hoses above the thermostat housing.
You'll need to drain coolant (heating control set to maximum) and PAS fluid first of course, and be careful to defuse your hydraulic bomb with 50 brake pedal pumps (engine not running) before you crack open any hydraulic lines.
