I'm desperatly searching this part for my Audi RS2 Lhd. I contacted Audi Tradition who wrote me that this part would be available shortly, but for the moment no news about it. If someone could provide me some help, I would be very grateful.
Below the picture of the part taken from a german auction site.
That part is specific to LHD cars so with most of the cars on here being RHD it makes it even less likely that anyone has one.
However it isn't specific to the just the RS2 so one from any 5 cylinder engined LHD car would do.
Unfortunately the aluminium part of the pipes in that area are prone to corrosion so even less of them have survived than might have done otherwise and even those that have survived may start to leak soon.
If I were you I would find a local hydraulic hose company and get them to make you up a pipe of the correct length out of flexi hose with the correct fittings on each end.
I'm sure that will be quicker and cheaper than waiting for Audi Tradition
I'll see if I can find someone who can make up such a pipe when I'll get back next summer. In the meantime I'll check Audi Tradition to see if it gets out.
i noticed that you mentioned that this part is obsolete.
I managed to buy this part very recently from the uk if i remember correctly. Mine had been broken as well and a new one was fitted.
i ordered it from stoke audi with the part number.
finally dont forget that usually those pipes can be made aftermarket with a combination of high pressure and aluminium or mended with aluminium welding
I tried different dealers in France, one dealer in Germany and also Audi Tradition, all of them told me that it was not available anymore.
I contacted online-teile, same answer: not available.
Perhaps you had the chance to get the last one!!
If you remember where you ordered it, I'm interested so I can try to contact the dealer and see if it is available in the UK, the problem is that usually the dealers do not make outside country sale and even less shipping...
Finally after a long month searching how to get this problem fixed, I found a company in England who accepted to built a new one if I send them my original pipe.
All included (re-made and shipping to France), it will cost me around 250 Euros.
I'm excited to get it done so I will be able to get back in Italy and south of France this summer without sweating in the car!
Good stuff. My AC works again but some hoses are nearly perished. I have been told that they can be remanifactured by shops so if I get in trouble I will let you know.
