    12v AFC vacuum line?

Anybody know where this hose connects - gets vacuum from? It feeds the HVAC system.

    Car: 1995 Audi 90 Quattro 12v V6 US spec

On a side note: When I press the AC button the fan starts to blow; even if the knob is turned off. Is this because the vaccum line isn't attatched? I don't remember it doing that before. but it has been 4 years since it ran

If you don't get your answer here, I suggest you ask on the B3/B4 Audi 80/90 forum of quattroworld. It is mostly US people so they will have experienced your automatic climate control issue(s) and have the answer.

Hmmm...In my car that hose connects to firewall side of the intake manifold. The same line feeds the vapour canister throw the one way valve... I could take a picture of the connection point.

what type of HVAC do you have? The vacuum operates the recirculation flap, won't have any effect on the blower fan. I'm not sure if the A/C button is supposed to turn the blower on, as it does with the rad fan?

A picture could help... as I may have connected something else where it should.

I thought it was funny that the fan turned on. I may have switched a wire somewhere... I pulled the engine harness out of one car to use in this one.

The other problem I may have is the donor car had auto climate control and this car doesn't. Maybe there is something different in the harness.

          Thanks for your help

yes the harnesses are totally different. So to clarify which parts have you taken from the digital climate car? What is it your are trying to do?

The line goes straight to the end of intake manifold in my car...

I have a 1995 12v-AFC manual climate control car that had a bad harness

I took the harness out of another 1995 12v-AFC car but with automatic climate control

All I want it for the Manual CC car to operate normally I didn't know that there were going to be many differences within the harness I wonder what sort of fun I will be running into.
