    Climate Not blowing hot air

I am only getting a little hot air when it is set at high other wise cold

There is coolant at hoses hot in and out and bled correctly

Could be the matrix ? Hope not

Or what else in the heater could it be if possible I do not want to remove the dash

Can anyone give me feed back I have read a few threads and possibly point to the flap that switches from hot to cold ?

    Thanks

Yes maybe you are right, sure it was a day to day thing that's why I am checking if it could be any thing else

Do a search here for climate servo motors. They do fail on cars of this age. I don't think you should worry about your matrix just yet.
The servos control the various flaps inside the heater for temperature blending and direction control etc. You probably have a dead one. They can be repaired. Use the search function.

          Pulled codes

Checked the visible ones which are working at the moment looking for the flap for the hot cold to see if that is functioning, but cannot locate it from the outside yet

Flush matrix both ways with hose pipe.

Fill matrix before filling rest of cooling system to be sure of no air locks, btdt

On my 1995 C4 Avant the temp motor was the highest one on the heater unit.Be careful as the white plastic arms go brittle with age but I managed to ressurect some heat at one stage ( miles from home in freezing weather) courtesy of a cable tie.

                Thanks

Does your coolant temp gauge read constantly normal once warmed up? If not you may have a bad block thermostat which will impact the coolant temp in your heater core and hence how 'hot' the blower air is. The giveaway signs are temp gauge reads normal when stationary but drops to a low reading when you are moving.

And one other thing - not sure how similar the S2 and UrS6 CC heads are (if at all) but on the C4 the solder joints go dry and fail on the ribbon cable socket that joins the front panel to the rest of the unit and sometimes this has been known to compromise control of the flap servo motors by way of too low or unstable supply voltage. Apologies if this does not apply to (R)S2...

Theres a few people complaining of the same problem

my coolant system is working as it should, I have flushed the heater matrix seemed to flow well and clean, coolant going in is at correct temp same with the return

but can only get 40 deg c out of it if it is set to high otherwise its just warm, it blows cold fine

                          ok thanks

Not geting any faults and flaps seem to be working, maybe air flow is block around the matrix is reduced due to ****, but I am just trying to get the bigger picture before a remove the dash, which i hope it will not come to that

I have been using a fluke laser temperature sensor to take my reading
