    Change clima to manual heating

Has anybody done this in reverse? I want to remove all those vacuum hoses etc. so I'm thinking of going to manual heating. I have removed air-con before, so I have no use for the old clima unit.

What parts do I need? I think I need the "control panel" and all the air flaps? Anything else? I have never seen a audi 80 manual heating mechanism so I'm a bit stuck.

I have stripped the wiring loom from all excess wires...

You will need complete heater box and control panel.

U need complete manual heater box with its own non-A/C blower motor, resistor, harness & control unit.

I would make a change with pleasure, because I'm into climate-control. But unfortunately I don't happen to be in Finland by car very often. (Maybe I will manage to see rally this weekend).
You will find everything necessary in your place faster than negotiating to smb abroad. It's easy to get all this. Any scrap audi 80 will help.

Anyway, I'm very interested in gaining old climate-control parts, especially control unit with wooden panel and recirculation flap button, climate underbonnet harness (It's a separate module).

I've gone ac to non ac, it's a dash out job but not that hard. As above, plus you'll need a glove box, and there's a bracket riveted to the dash that holds the closing mechanism. ECU holder is also different and you'll need to cover the hole in the bulkhead.

I believe, climate small glove box can be left, but it's more wise to replace it with a non-climate large one, of course.

Thanks for your replys! They help alot.
I think it is easier to locate missing parts from Finland.

My dash is already out and I have stripped the wiring harness. I'm going with standalone ECU so I don't need "factory ecu holder".
