    Removing evaporator plumbing typ 85?

I´m underway fitting new seals and pipes for the ac-system in my typ 85 80 Quattro and now i´m wondering about the correct way to get at the pipeunions behind the evaporator? do you unscrew it from inside the car or is it from the enginecompartment through the rubberboot?

There are no unions behind the evaporator, the solid metal pipes go straight out through the bulkhead into the engine comparment where there are two "O" rings under the oval sealing plate which is held together by a single bolt.

The only thing with a seal behind the evaporator is the low pressure switch which if it's already sealed up fine and you're not changing it, I'd leave alone.
