  • Radiator fan assistance

    Hi guys.
This will sound dumb, but I've never noticed till now that my rad fan doesn't seem to work.
I rarely use my TDI B4 for anything over a mile or two at a time for work.
Today was different and had a longer drive and I noticed it never kicked in over the journey.
There are no fuses blown, so just wondering if there's any common problems that I could look into for a fix that can be easily sorted as I'm useless with car electrics

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried unplugging the connector from the bottom of the rad and bridging two connections on the harness with a piece of wire and seeing if the fan comes on??

Check the connector on the fan if broken or not. Mine was - kept falling off.

Diesels take ages before they will get hot enough for a fan to kick in.

I second that. The fans on my t4 are fully fictional and to my knowledge have never ran
