You didn't read well.

So the compressor from the 92 could be a R12 compressor and therefore the R134a hose does not fit it.

I think that is what has happened. Which is good, as R12 can hold R134a.

RichLV will measure the size of that pipe on his as he's got R12, then I'll know for sure.
