I found this in a box of bits that came with the S2 I bought. Not seen one before, does this fit an S2.

It is for vacuum operated climate control. It does fit S2, but you need all the other bits as well, wiring, vacuum pipes, valves, control module, heater core housing and so on.1989 Audi 80 Quattro

Yeah, this old type climate control was standard on LHD S2s... mine has it. It is all vacuum controlled as has been said....Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...

I think the new 'LED" style one would be the preferred one to have when you have a choice.

You won't be able to use that on a RHD climate conversion as to do the swap you need to use the B5 heater box which is only compatible with the later digital climate controller. HTH
