If U want 650 HP and torque from 3000......... FORGET IT

This turbo will boost at 4700 rpm on a 2.2 L (On a good setup)
    I run a GT30R 0.82 wich kicks in at 3800 (1.8 bar)

Yeah I have to agree, there is a trade off to be had. If you want that much HP it is going to be high up the rev range with a much narrower powerband than the stock. Allbeit alot more power in the power band.

It is always going to be a trade off, if you want the car for 1/4 mile and track driving it may be suitable but day to day you will probably want something that spools sooner.

You could look at a stroker which wont rev as much but will have a better torque characteristic.

fast spool and 650 whp? somebody pass this man some coffee as he needs to wake up.

Forget it mate, your best bet is a GT3076 for spool arond 3500-3700 and over 500 bhp.

                  LOL... yeah spot on...

Alternatively, as the S2 has so much free engine bay space i think a twin turbo project would be better.
These should be suitable for this:

These are capable of holding 70 bar!

i have gt30r on my car i am using .82a/r hotside. i have serious power from 4500rpm.
i used .63a/r hotside. serious power comes from 3700rpm but 50hp less on high rpm.

now i go back to.63 a/r hotside. much better on street.

Any power graphs with both turbine options? I have a 30R with both housings, but which to use on stock bottom end? Im thinking the larger may be better to reduce torque and so stop rod bending???

                          I'm also considering a turbo-swap.

Is it possible to get one that will deliver power from about 3200-3300rpm and still be up for 500hp?

It is, with e.g. Innovative Sh55.

We dynoed 500Nm at 3800rpm (peak 610Nm at 4600) and 470hp. Will go past 500hp if pushed.

                            ~300Nm at 3100rpm

And that was with journal bearing.
Everything less than 2 bar is considered to be naturally aspirated
