  • Another Longlife'd S2

Took the Coupe up to Longlife Battersea yesterday, they removed the 11 year old original exhaust and got a cat back system fitted. Mid-Sport sound, and the closest tailpipe to the OEM that I could find.

The sound is incredible, really something! And the service was as exceptional as I had been led to believe. Only downside was that he advised me that the Cats were as good as dead. Oh well. So now I have to consider what to do next. Sports cats or de-cat. That will depend on whether an answer to this "do they/don't they" as to Cats and the MOT is solved. I will have to do some more investigamations.

    Here are some photos:

It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.

As for the MOT, what year is you car?

Looks very neat, only question is: Is the tailpipe a true twin set up (independent pipes) or a single split into 2?

The car is a 95, so I think it will technically require a cat for MOT purposes, however having read about some people getting through MOTs without cats recently on similar age cars, I want to check this option out first.

The exhaust is a single 2.5" stainless from cat-back.
