the missus told me the car (a4) was acting up today so when I got back from work I took a look. it's running really roughly and seems to be running on 5 cylinders. I checked the codes and it gave me the generic misfire code as well as cyl 2 and 5 misfire. I reset the codes, drove down the street and back up again, checked codes and now it's just 16684 - randopm misfire, any cylinder & 16686 - Cylinder 2 misfire detected. I reset and tested again and got these 2 codes so I reckon it's the coilpack on number 2 cyl and number 5 must have misfired because my missus drove back (short distance thankfully) as it was.
I know my precats are on the way out and just worried that one has collapsed and is blocking the exhaust.
2 short vids if anyone thinks they can tell from the sound.
I'll try to find coil packs locally in the morning and see if that sorts it.
Silly question though.. which one is cylinder 2? It's not likely to be marked.
