  • Modding standard airbox..

I was just wondering why no one has tried to use a cone inside the standard airbox? My box is already butchered a little bit, but it did get me wondering if the box itself would be a decent enough heat shield for the cone, provided the cone fits inside ofcourse..

probably be no more effective than a performance panel filter instead to be honest?

I probe and it don´t fit OK.
It must be too small and we must put some hoses.

PD: on an ABY airbox the original filter panel isn´t use all of it, only half of it.

Look at my thread on heat shields and cold air feed, it's all there.

I appreciate the cone isnt as good as a panel filter, but i'd much rather have the noise of the cone for now. So all i need the airbox is to act as a heat shield. I'm not to clued up about lots of extra airflow... just yet
