It's a completely self contained circuit using a Aux water pump and a water wetter additive.
Had a good blast tonight and the exit from the charge cooler never gets more than tepid, but the pipe over the cam cover is too hot to touch for long! Can see why so many fit the AAN inlet manifold

I fail to see how tepid water can help cool air on a hot day... especially if that water gets hotter when sitting in traffic and such with heat soak... You get heat soak on an intercooler of course but once moving a decent pace for some seconds with decent airflow then the air temps improve. But if you get heatsoak in a chargecooler then you need something to cool that mass of water before it can have any beneficial effect... Or maybe I am thinking about this all wrong.

Water is far more efficient at keping the intercooler matrix cool than air. Here is link to info on charge coolers.

I run a custom made radiator with its own fan so even in stop start traffic the water is kept cool unlike a air to air intercooler which heats up if air is not flowing over it.
