    Exhaust manifold

I am looking for bit of advice.
I have two or three cracks in ex. manifold and I am looking at the best and cost affective way to replace it.
I know someone that can make ex manifolds in ss for about £ 250, but is it possible to re-make it to stock rs2 turbo or is he talking b****t, manifold is very short so I think will be hard to do it and I had a word with Albert he also know this company and he would not use them.
I already got second manifold from eBay, paid £260 when I got it also got three small cracks
Is the best way getting stock one, maybe I should speak to Martin at vag?
    Thanks in advance.

      Hi!,

Not being funny but it would be better to post in the right forum. Try the inlet and exhaust, or even engine and turbo.
Do you have the standard exhaust manifold or the RS2 one? Its not unusual for exhaust manifolds to have cracks. Depends on whether they are severe enough to leak. Whereabouts on the manifold are they?
Cast can be repaired. They are several firms who specialize in the process. I think you would be looking for someone who does fusion welding.
Suppose the most cost efective way is to source a uncracked s/h replacement. If its a standard manifold, I might be able to help.

        Hello
Sorry I keep posting in a wrong window, just learning.
Ex. manifold is standard rs2, it has hairline cracks, I don’t think there is a major leak but I am planning remap by Mihnea so I think it would be wise to get it done.
        Thanks

Wow, it looks like the Forum gods have been kind to you!
Don't worry too much . I've only just learnt to post pics. There will be no end to me boring people rigid!
I think what you are experiencing is quite common, especially as you have two manifolds in similar condition. Hopefully an expert will notice your post shortly and give you the benefit of their experience.
