audi s2 3b mtm, maf netting broken on turbo side?

I am not having any spare parts for this exact problem. And i am worried that the turbo would suck in the netting. So i am asking you folks now as i gotta drive home again once im done with a few things at the shop. Should i just remove the net on the turbo side and drive without it. Or should i superglue it back together with loctite?
Im feeling more comftable removing it untill i can order a new one. But so far those are the alternatives. And i just wanna know if it harms anything removing the netting? Theres still the netting on the filter side of the maf though.

G70 Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor info

Until you can find a replacement, remove that mesh (metal snap ring holds it in) to prevent further loss and injestion of wires into to the engine. A big, unanswered as yet, question is WHY? did this happen in the first place?

More MAF info including comments about the need for the screens and the results of their removal: http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/20442.phtml

RS2 maff does not have this mesh so as long as the air filters there and doing its job you should be good.

If you have a look at the G70 info link I posted, the mesh (either OE metal or the RS2 plastic) are there for more reasons than just protecting the hotwire (think air flow straightening).

I could imagine. Have no clue how this have happened. Maybe one of my colleges accidently kicked a screwdriver into it or something during my rebuild. But anybody know where i can get a new?

New are technically NLA but if you really wanted a new one, check with Pete at Quattro Corner, an advertiser here.

As an alternative, consider replacing the outlet mesh with this:
