They're not that much more expensive from a dealer either. I bought a set for my Avant and never got around to fitting them. They ended up going in a skip when I moved home!

Does anyone know if the floor pan sills can be ordered/replaced?

I can't seem to find what I'm looking for in the FA.

            Nuvo.

              i replaced my sills

              two words

              BALL ACHE

got em from vagparts £63.ish +vat each i think

if you want a new floor pan, make a template out of a kellogs cornflake packet and take it to a sheet laser laser cutter

will cost you next to nothing

                Thanks Will,
I don't like aching balls but needs must.
Illustration 803-10 and part numbers 895 803 761/2 A look like the sills in question.
                Do you agree?

How are they fixed to the floor pan? Do the old sills need to be cut out?

My floor pan is fine, it's just the sills that could do with some attention.

                Nuvo.

                  duno the part no.s

IIRC the sills are spot welded to the floor pan, and the quater pannel etc. invest in some 1mm thick slitting discs for a 5"grinder makes life sooooo much easyer,

take your rear door cards out and weld the rear quaters on from the inside

i drilled holes in the new sill and puddle welded where i couldn't put a nice seam (the door bit would be distorted with the heat if you seamed it)

then plastered all the under side/inside with "shults" like a black waxoil
