Does anybody know how to replace an ignition barrel on an S2?

    Hi All,
Any help with some instructions to replace the ignition barrel - snapped inner shaft - would be very, very much appreciated. Instrument unit is out already, just can't see how the ignition barrel detatches from the dash.
    Thanks,
    Simon.

Easiest way I found was if you remove the shelf under the steering wheel and remove the clocks. There is a black cap around the lock itself, just pull that off (towards you). You will need to remove the top of the steering cowel and now at this point you should be able to see all the bolts needed. It's a bit tight in there, well getting it out anyway, good luck

Remove the instrument cluster and drill a tiny hole on the lock housing. Inspect the new barrel to get the hole in the right postition so that you're able to push the spring in.

To retain one key system, only use the shaft from the new barrel if the broken shaft is the only problem.
