Question. Are these the same as S2?

These clocks on ebay from a coupe, are they exactly the same as S2 apart from being black? Is the autocheck and onboard computer and temp display etc all the same?

    Thanks in advance

    Matt

I am assuming that it is from a 5 cylinder and therefore will run on the S2, but it could also be from a 6 cylinder

If you want a cluster which is a direct replacement, make sure you get a picture of the rear too before you buy.

I went to buy one from my local breakers and pointed out the M reg V6 I wanted it out of.
When I went to pick it up, I was given one with autocheck and the computer but it wasn't the one I'd asked for (no doubt came from an older 20v).
So I went and whipped the one out of the V6 and compared the backs.

I can't say what the difference was in terms of features, but you can see for yourself the differences behind where the autocheck sits. Behind that small grille you can see a PCB on the S2 (and V6 version).

Neither had an Ambient temp display though (and don't get excited when you see a module there - it's usually the automatic gearbox display!)

...no doubt Siena could tell you what the differnces are.
