What faces do you want scanned? all of them? i think I need to buy a tiny bit to remove the faces though - tomorrow ok for scans?

I only need to actual speedo face (MPH). The RPM, Water temp and Fuel are all the same.


By the looks of things we now have 12 people that want a set of these...


I will pay for the remaining 8 sets as i am sure once we have these bad boys glowing under the dash many more will want to buy.

Eagerly awaiting that Gauge face image.

anyone knows if you are to put in a 300 km/h in the 280 km/h unit will need recalibrating, or just plug and play?

really like the S2 logo and the blue light , but it would be kinda cool to have 300 km/h.

(as if 280 km/h is not enough )

unfortuantly the 300kmh/180mph gauge is almost thesame and not a "plug and play" unit - both top speeds end at the same place so if you fitted a 300kmh one it would always be saying you are going faster than you actually are... (Maybe a good thing if someone wanted to stop the heavy speeding fines )

hmm, checked the photos again and to me i does seem like the 300 is further down the scale than the 280 on the original faces. The 300 is allmost straight below the "h" in km/h, which defenitly is not the case on my original faces.

Maybe is the crocked angle or just me hoping , guess i have to send seller a mail to be sure

But it would however be quite stupid of them to make a 300 km/h unit that no one could use without recalibrating the speedo, instead of just adding 300 after the 280.

Are there any S2´s running 300 km/h speedo stock , perhaps the RS2

It definitely looks as though the 300km/h is further round. There is a better picture in the ebay link from the first page of this thread.

If that is the case and they can do them with 180mph further round the scale then I would certainly be after a set.

Lets clear up this confusion

Ok, I agree the image in the auction on page one of this thread does show that 300kmh is lower than 280kmh when compared to original gauges but it is designed for the gauge replacement of an 280kmh gauge.

I.E.
280kmh = 300kmh after replacement.

All they have done is added 300 below the 280, that way the speedo does not require recalibrating.

But the OEM S2 and RS2 speedos both end at the same place because they are standard.
The only way to make it work would be to get the original 160MPH face and add 180MPH lower down.

This is an option.

However we cant do that until i get hold of a scan of the original S2 MPH face.

Does the above make any sense?? ...
