Aux gauges, centre console and intollerable squeek
Aux gauges, centre console and intollerable squeek
Is the only way to remove my Aux Gauges to remove the whole centre console?
I have a terrible squeek coming from my aux gauge section... is this common? (and would therefore have a common remedy...) Or am I gonna have to take the whole console out?
Thanks,
JB

1. Get beer
2. Get tools
3. sit your ***** in the driver's seat for 30 minutes and take out the whole feaking console (sipping beer)
note: Don't break the little balck plastic strip that goes across the top of the aux gage panel. There are two little screws under it that hold it to the dash.
4. sit your ***** down at the work bench (sipping beer) and take the aux gages out.
Not sure what the squeaking is but that's how to take the aux gages out - BTDT more than I care to remember...

First are you absolutely sure the noise is coming fro behind the gauges?
If it is do as follows...
1/ Take the trim off that surrounds the climate control module above the gauges.
2/ You will see that there are 2 phillips screws holding the black trim above the gauges.
3/ Once you remove the trim everything else will be obvious to you.

I believe there is a metal partition between the climate control area and the gage area below, no???
