speedo and onboard display

how accurate is the speedo on our beloved s2's if you drive 100km/h mine shows 84km/h on the onboard display witch 1 is accurate or close to accurate.

sy speedo is around 10-14 km/h off to the high side.

Ie 100 on the speedo gives around 86-90 on my GPS which matches perfect with the onboard display.

Anyway to fix this. My old CoupeGT is spot on with the GPS, so a little surprised that the S2 would be off?

Most car makers set their speedos high on purpose, so I am more suprised about the accuracy of your GT. That said, my old MY82 Audi 80 was only 3% out at 100MPH.

I agree with you that the onboard display is likely to be much closer to the GPS, although 84% as seen by Albie S2 seems a long way off at only 100KPH...most speedos are 7 to 10% difference, although this is not always a linear scale.
