Bootlock

My bootlock is not working when I push it from outside the car. When I climb into the back of the car I can open it by pulling the gold hook.

There is a white clip which the gold hook is meant to go into but everytime I put the clip on the boot still does not open from the outside.

Is there anyone who has or could post a picture of what the bootlock mechanism from the inside should look like to save me jumping in and out of the car to open it.

This is all because some little brat decided to place a screwdriver through my lock.

I've got some pics of it dismantled but not fitted - I'llhave a look.

From what I remember, there is a hook which fits into a plastic bush. One of these parts has a thread on it allowing you to adjust how much movement is transferred from pushing the knob to the catch.

IIRC its a bit of trial and error to get its setting correct.

Thanks Nuvo that diagram did the job. I had not been locating the hook in the right part.
