Rear Seat wont lock into position

I've got a problem with me left hand rear seat, it simply wont latch over the metal pins and i can't work out why, doing my head in as it drops and reveals things in the boot.

    Anybody ever had this?

Jamo the pin is a floating mount so it can move around, grab an allen key and undo the bolt until you can move it by hand, carefully latch the seat back, then open and tighten the pin again. Takes a few goes to get it right.

It has also got a nut around the threaded shoulder bolt acting as a lock-nut.
Slacken the nut with a 17(?)mm spanner then the bolt will probably be loose enough to adjust by hand. Screw it in or out to get the protrusion just right. As said above, when loose it can also move up, down, left and right. I find the best way to adjust it get the protrusion right, then nip it up with your fingers. Then slam the seat into position a few times to get the seat catch to do all the aligning for you. Pull down the seat again and tighten the locknut.

Takes a little while to get the adjustment right like al c says.I have done it on mine when I changed the rear speakers.

hiya folks many thanks, i've tried to no avail but i think i know what the problem maybe after the above suggestions

When i completely made the pin slack the seat would lock into position but the pin was bent completely down.

Looks as in the metal retaining block inside the hole has completely turned around in the hole and therefore the pin is to high when screwed in.

When i get time tomorrow or weekend i'll rotate the block so that the screw-in hole is lower down hopefully!!!!

if you unscrew the pin out the bolster will come away and you can move the plate back to the right position, hopefully you should be able to line it up then.
