Blimey, I leave you kids alone for two days and look what happens You've all become experts

On to the pressing parts enquiry:

2TA 853 582 for front doors and rear quarters

N 904 199 01 for dashboard although this number probably supercedes. Not at work this week so I can't check.

and just to finish off the p!ssing contest:

I'm running V6.31 rev 596, you won't be getting better than that without paying.

Thanks to all for your (interesting) collection of part numbers ....you can see why I asked, as I am no expert on the FA and this one was giving me a nose bleed At least several of us agree, but then again it is scary how many diff numbers can be generated for one simple part

S'funny, I took a part number supplied by Ben into my local steeler recently, who looked it up and said 'nope, s'unavailable mate' and tried to charge me £157 for the entire unit £7.50 and a promise of beer later and Ben has posted me said unavailable part.

Why is the FA so damn cr@p?

Anyway, no offense guys, but I'm gonna choose Ben's numbers, for the simple reason that he wears his underpants on the outside

Umm, mine are larger versions of the door/rear quarter trim clips....def not nuts as the legs on the trim are not threaded. The FA shows them as washer/clip/thingymabobs too

          Cheers n

Ah ok, my dashboard panel has threaded legs which i used a nut and washer with, altho mine were woodtrim and not carbon, perhaps thats the difference, as for the doorcard trims.... i was right there

Also its not a case of the FA being crap, just the people using it!
Most of the guys my mate works with at the stealer have no interest in cars at all so dnt really care much for what they do.
