    Cleaning satin jacquard upholstery ...?

I've got the platinum satin jacquard (or whatever it was called) 'quattro' script upholstery on my S4 and I think 13 years of use have definitely made it rather grubby looking.

Has anyone managed to find a good method for cleaning this fabric finish? Are there any DIY solutions (quite happy to put in some elbow grease!)? Or should I take it to an 'expert'?

    Cheers.

I've used bog standard upholstery shampoo without issue though I am sure you can spend a fortune on a better one from Autoglym etc....

Only tip would be do a test first out of sight and also when you do it, clean an entire seat base or back as if you spot clean you will forever see the slight mark left behind

    Good luck

Hi mate you need to use a valeting machine you dont need to over wet the seats let the chemical do the work .use a brush to work it in then suck the solution out .The machine squirts water on to the seat while sucking at the same time .
I always go over the seats with an AUTO GLYM chamy after to even out the moisture .
As you rub the chemical in the cloth you will see it accumilate around the water mark.
      Good luck.
This is taken from a previous thread i did on cleaning Recaros.

I've used both AG iterior shampoo (not foam type!) and Kärcher carpet/curtain wet vacuum cleaner. Both does the job nicely but of course easier job with the machine.

Nice one. I think my local car accessories place carries Autoglym stuff so I might have a crack at it over the weekend. If t hat doesn't do too much then I may invest in renting a proper wet vac type thing. I'm a lot less worried about damaging it now that I know a few of you have cleaned yours successfully.

Hoping the weather stays warm and dry so I don't have to put up with misted windows for the next few weeks

            Cheers.
