Well, just got the plasmas fitted in and a few comments on them.
Firstly thanks to bo for sorting this group buy out and sticking with it through all the problems he had.
Who ever has bought these i gaurantee you will not be disapointed with the quality and overall finish, it really is awesome stuff, and Bo's write up wot go with it is top notch too.
A fitted mine pretty much as Bo fitted his, the only difference being the 12v supply to the switching unit and where i placed the controls for the SU.
I took the 12v supply from the 3 or so lamps which are behing the heating control switches, easy enough to take off the face plate of the controls including the knobs and connect in across the two spade terminals which supply the 3 lamps. HOWEVER------Make sure that the variable dimmer switch on the clocks is set to maximin, or else you will only get 6 or so volts which did confuse me at first and obviously isnt enough to power the switching unit. AND another point while im talking about the 12v. Don't go an assume like i did that german colour scheme is the same as house electrics lol
If you use the same supply as me, Blue is +ve and Brown is -ve vice versa to house electrics, but you clever people may already have known the s2 is wired that way.
I have put the controls for the switching unit underneath the top part of the tray under the steering wheel so its a little more out of sight, i will take a picture of that later tonight when i post more pics of the illumination!!
I have only fitted the aluminium rings as an extra and not the carbon surround so if u have only ordered that too then this is what it should look like...
