    Porkkis,
Heated seats are very rare here, as we don't have the same cold weather as you do. For the last week we have been told that there is a big freeze on the way. Its's a bit chilly here and I haven't seen any snow yet. The forecasted temperature is 5 below freezing. You and your fellow scandinavians and Desmo888 would laugh your socks off at such a warm winter day!

I suppose I need to go to some scandinavian scrap yards.

Of course I forgot to post the relay numbers. 443 919 533 A and they cost around 40e each...

I see. Now we have -7C and it's quite warm

Perhaps Richard or someone could manage a "group buy for used items". He could probably find dozens of seat heating harnesses at www.bildelsbasen.se

The seat heaters were standard equipment on Finnish and Swedish sold cars AFAIK. My coupe is originally sold to Italy so I have aircon, hinged rear windows, sliding roof etc but not the seat heaters

I had a look at the web site but it's all in foreign!

You do amazingly well with your English. My scandinavian is non-existant.

The opening rear windows and the heated seats are high on my list of additions for my Coupe.

I missed a set of windows and loom etc. for £90

I think the seat heaters are the main requirement as a friend of mine has this as an option on his Ford Mondeo and they are wonderful.

If there is a group buy of the looms, relays and elements from this breaker I would be tempted.

Elements coul be a hard one if you don't wish to buy the whole seats used
This is why I started this thread. New ones are pricey and I was hoping they would have been standard with leather.

Yeah, but I barely feel '1' through my fat ***. Even 6 takes it's time to transmit through the lard.

I have a black leather front and rear seats for an S2, which do not have heat. I find them a little dark. I will get round to selling them soon to pay for my brakes etc. The cover is off the drivers side as the seat was damaged in an accident.

I will get round to building a custom seat frame so I can use the standard or some different seats to fit my 2 metre body into the car and make sure it has heat!

                  Heated Seats

I'd be intersted if there was a group buy.

Heated seats are very rare in the UK. I have enquired with most of the UK Audi breakers in the past (All Audi, 4Ring Spares, etc) and they tend not to keep any heated seat parts on the shelf - not even the switches. The only time they would have anything is if they have a complete car in the yard for breaking....

Are heated seats any more common in A4's golfs etc? would the bits not be the same?

Sorry it wasnt me, my seat heaters work ok but i have got a hot spot on the drivers seat just under my right 'cheek'
                      Any ideas anybody?

I've also got the black leather seats with no heaters. They are a wee bit nippy at times like this, especially as the main air heater takes quite a while to heat the cabin... :eek2:

I didn't even know that the rear windows were able to move? Mine certainly aren't, was that an option too? Not that I ever sit in the back of course...

                            Heates seats

Would any of our scandinavian members be able to find any harnesses, relays, etc from scandinavian breakers so we can do a group buy ? Looks like there would be plenty of interest....

I was wondering if the heated seat switches, loom and relays are the same from such vehicles as the A8, A4 etc. I feel the Audi 100 S4 would be the same.

I must get on with getting a copy of ETKA ( followng several kind offers) can anyone enlighten us?

Makes the availability better if they are the same.

Dan, the opening rear windows tilt from the front and are activated by an electric motor. The controls for these windos are on the drivers side switch panel. This panel is similar to the 4door models. the switch is the same as the front windows switch. The motor is in a plastic bump to the rear of the side windows.

Some people say they are useless others swear by them. They can increase cabin ventilation/extraction of stale air.

                              I fancy a set...
