  • Back seats 'vacuum" ?

I just got a black leather interior for a sedan B4. The back seats have a small hose coming out from each one of them, from the sides. What is that for?

They're connected to central locking vacuum system. Most likely for making impossible to fold the seats when car is locked.

Exactly, to prevent accessing luggage compartment, when someone decides to break into the car by breaking a window.
Learned this the hard way, when I was parting out a donor car. Couldn't figure out why I cant fold down one of the seats and used a saw blade to cut through the thick locking bolt
