under carpet insulation/underlay - where to buy?

OK... so after my poor S2 managed to get filled with rainwater .... I ended up throwing out much of the underlay (from beneath the carpets) ... can anyone tell me where to get some to replace it?

I don't want to pay local Audi main dealer an arm and a leg, so anyone got any ideas of suitable insulation/underlay materials I could use which would be good? And where to buy them?

Has anyone used other materials, perhaps to get BETTER than standard sound insulation?

Perhaps something like Dynamat; thin but dense and used in a lot of audio setups, but it weights quite a bit?

I have an audi coupe which is nbeing torn tor bits at the mo you are welcome to come and rip all the insulation out of that if you want it

Agree, but you would be cheaper having teeth pulled at the main stealer...!

Just go to a local contractor (who builds houses) show them the material, maybe they can help you, in sweden we have firms that sell pirate parts (3rd party parts) they have this material in stock, and they are really reasonably priced.
