  • Procon ten removal procedure?

Not sure if this is interior or transmission so here goes:

I would like to get the procon ten cables and brackets out so i can clean and paint everythibg properly. As well as get the belts out so they don't so dirty over the next few years....

My car does not have the type of system that has disconnects inside the car, the cable is 1 piece from the belt reel to the brackets in the engine bay.

The question is how to disassemble? Looks like the cable is locked in by the red plastic piece? Get all the to slide back and the cable comes out?

Looks significantly better preserved by all the hydraulic leaks under the steering rack than on the passenger side!!!! I want to retain the system so cutting is not on the table. I note that someone had been in there and removed the wire to the steering column. At least it's available from tradition cheaply....

Thanks, got it apart last night. Unfortunately the plastic piece encased in rust didn't make it but i can add it to the rather lengthy tradition order list i am making....
