    Instrument Dash Removal

My speedo needle appears to be getting caught on the paint off the speedo dial.

How do i get at the dash to sort this out??
Why is the speedo face paint peeling and not the rev counter?? If it's the bulb, what is the correct bulb??

What is the bulb for the time display, that has gone aswell....

    Cheers

Id say its definitely easier not to remove the steering wheel. With a bit of practice you can have the cluster out in under 60 seconds.

and damage your dash. steering out for me, not regarding having the airbag. if you have the non airbag steering wheel, it is out in 10 sec.

I have the non air bag, so the wheel is coming off... anything to make it easier...

Has anyone ever replaced all their dash or speedo bulbs with bright blue leds?
Just trying to assess whether its a viable option instead of spending big cash on those plasma things..

Just finished replacing my cluster with a 's2_Bo special' It's actually very easy to take the cluster out - no need to remove the wheel. I've taken the cluster in and out roughly 10 times today - blumin leds...... Actually reverted back to bulbs for the warning lights - blue for clock & vdu and of course the lurvely blue gauges themselves. I'll add to Bo's thread regarding how to link the guage to the headlights - found a nice way to link to the blower lamps.
Longest time spend was messing about with the leds - if only the leads to the cluster were longer so that you pull them in and out with the power actually on.
