Warning! Keep kids out of your S2!!

Take heed as one of my little tykes has somehow gone and managed to get chewing gum all over the back seat !!!

Any tops tips for getting it off as i dont want to ruin the leather (black) in the process!! FFs! heard about using an ice cube but dont think that will work particularly well!

Yeps, Kids and S2's just dont mix!! The little offender is currently being sold on ebay if I can get any bids!

    cheers

    Paul

stain devil is normally a very good way of getting chewing gum off. It makes it hard and then just picks off cleanly

Freeze it and chip off (ice pack or compressed air spray or like)
      Vegetable oil
      WD40

All are said to work. I would freeze and chip to start with. Less likely to affect dye in leather

lighter gas is a good way to freeze it quickly just use pointed nose pliers to activate the filler, just don`t smoke anywhere near for a while after lol

Forget using anything flammable. Use the computer-type compressed air. Turn the can upside down to get only the CO2. It comes out and freezes on the surface you spray it on, e.g. the gum.

I had seen the hairdryer-compressed air dint removal video but had never played with a can of compressed air until Friday at work. Yep, you get ice when you invert and spray.

Think we are agreed then air in cans like what you use to blow fluff out of computers and from between your toes is the bestest for this type of job.

Personally i would heat the gum up and wipe it off with the offender.

Then when the fresh sticky gum is all over the offender you could use your can of compressed air to blow fluff from between your toes all over the individual which of course would stick. That would learn em

Thanks for the replies guys. As it happens the girlfriend sorted it with some washing up liquid and a pan scrub! Did the job and the leather looks unscathed!
