    RS2 Recaro Seats...

Picture this, on going for a drive, unsuspecting 'guest' gets into front passenger seat. Puts on seat belt and on finding the seat a bit too high and tilting a bit too much forward, attempts to adjust seat position (down and/or tilt back).

Unfortunately, tilt back and angle down buttons are not working and in their frustration fiddling with the defunct switches, tilt the seat even more up and forward!

After several attempts the seat position is now waaaaaaaay too high and tilted waaaaaaaay too forward and now requires some dexterity to get in and out!

Now, I can see the funny side of this electronic gremlin but think it's time to get it fixed.

Has anyone any ideas about where to start on solving this one?

The tilt forward and tilt up movement works just fine. It's just the other directions that are now completely dead.

Some weeks ago, I could, if I kept pressing the down button repeatedly eventually get it to go down but not any more... Ideas, suggestions most welcome!

Pushing the switch loads of times suggests it's maybe the switch at fault. I'd start there before working your way forward.

        Will do.

I've pulled the switch unit out and from the looks of it, replacing the unit will involve a lot of steady soldering. There's no snap on snap off plug sadly,,,,

Will check out with voltmeter and potentially replace that first and see how I get on...
