Avant inner door handles front/rear

Just wondering will the rear door handles for an avant fit the front?

part codes are

8a0 837 020 (right hand side front)

8a0 837 020 A (right hand side rear)

tbh I can't see no difference from the pictures straight away, if anyone knows if that these will fit



Rear one is on the left, all I can see being any different is that the tab looks longer and there is a bit of an insert at the front, tbh tho from what i've heard all I need to do is swap the innards over?

They are the same provided they rear don't have electric window switches. The picture you added shows this clearly. You can swap the handles over easily enough.

RS2 rear door handles in coupe LHD door panels.
Actually just the same as for avant.
Fits "plug n play" - if you only cut out a small piece in the door cover for the switch.
(The switch is for central locking.)

Alex, I did realise it was for central locking, I would have thought it was for rear electric windows (this is certainly true for UK cars). I'm pretty sure the Avant rears are too big for an RHD S2 Coupe.

Nice door builds, what is the little red thing at the bottom left hand corner of the door panel?

You´re right:
In normal case the switch in the door handle is for the rear electical window.
But i (and many other mates too) took an A8 central locking switch.
The little red lamp is a door light -
Because of parking near the street and in fact of oversized coupe doors,
it´s better to warn other cars behind by night that the door is open.

The speaker panels were made by an ebaymember aka "scully".
But i had to make some adapting works too, because they didn´t fit at all.

Hi Alex, do you have any more details or pics of the parts you used for the red parking lamp, the central locking switch and of course the door buids too?

In fact any details about the modifications you have made to you car would be very interesting to learn about.
